Reverie & Ramble

Hi Wanderers ~

Female in white sweater smiling

I’m thrilled you stopped by! You may be wondering who this Megan girl is and what’s the deal with this whole travel consulting thing. Well, I’m a super outgoing, outdoors loving Virginia girl who grew up in the country but now lives the city life. I’m one of those strange people that thoroughly enjoys the research part of vacation planning pricing out all transportation and lodging options, reading travel blogs (everything from the well-known publications to random personal blogs), and searching for ways to combine “must-see” with local authenticity. As it turns out, this was the perfect niche for my immensely detailed planner self (immensely detailed might be an understatement).

My love for travel dates back almost 20 years, to my first family cruise to the Caribbean. New cultures + new food experiences + new friends from all over was all I needed to get hooked. Over the years, my enthusiasm for embarking on new adventures hasn’t ceased. From southwest road trips to Costa Rican beaches to the Scottish Highlands, my appetite for travel persists whether it be a solo expedition or a trip with family/friends.

One day I read an article about career changes and I came across a captivating question: What are you doing at work when you’re not working? My response was reading travel articles and planning a mix of “let’s go now” and “someday” trips.

After that, everything clicked. I realized that this thing I’d been doing to fill my spare time had actually bloomed into a passion I wanted to share with others. For years I’d been soaking up all things travel and I’d finally found a way to put that research and planning to use.

And so, Reverie & Ramble came to be. The dream [reverie] of traveling meets the action of getting out and exploring the world [ramble]. I get to do the planning that I love and you reap the reward of a vacation tailored to you without carving time out of your busy schedule to plan.

But that’s enough about me, let’s talk about you! I love to hear other traveler’s stories. Where do you want to go next? Do you have any secret (or not so secret) travel fears? What’s on your bucket list? Reach out and share your stories, ask some questions, or just say hi!
